Posted by admin in mortgage on 05 4th, 2012 | no responses

SunTrust (NYSE:STI) has been attracting a great deal of attention over the course of the weeks by offering some of the very best home purchase mortgage rates to be found anywhere on the US market as a whole. Today certainly appears to be anything other than the day to break to chain, with an extensive array of deals and packages covering all bases once again on offer. However, buyers are being reminded that qualification for the very best mortgage deals of all is becoming increasingly difficult, therefore would-be buyer remaining on the fence are being urged to consider taking action as soon as any chance presents itself.

With regard to the very best deals on home purchases being offered by SunTrust today, the standard 30 year fixed rate loan once again tops the bill with a rate of 3.990% and an APR amounting to 4.1043%, while the shorter 15 year deal on the other hand is a veritable steal at a fixed rate of 3.375% and APR of just 3.6292%.

30 year fixed rate Jumbo loans can be taken out and locked in for a daily low of 4.625% and an APR of 4.7342%, while those looking for the FHA version of the standard 30 year fixed rate purchase package will find it being advertised at 3.625% and with an APR of 4.7882%.

Moving on to the very best adjustable rate mortgage deals for home purchase today and SunTrust is offering the Agency 7/1 ARM for as low as 2.990% as an opening rate and 2.2372% variable by way of APR, while the Agency 5/1 ARM represents equal value for money at 2.750% to start and APR of 3.1282% variable.

All of the above rates will in most instances require excellent credit and a fully verifiable employment history of at least two years, though FHA version of many loans may be more easily accessible for those concerned about large down payments.
